honeymoon, 1967
My parents are together again. Thank you for all your support, prayers, and kindness. I think no matter what we all wanted for him, he is in good company.
I will not even pretend to understand what you are feeling. I have been reading the last few weeks even though the comments have been absent. There are no words.
Nina, each day, I quietly read your blog via Woodrow (that no posting SOB). I am heartbroken to read the news of your father... with all of his struggles, I hope you can find peace in the fact that he is finally pain free and reunited with loved ones, as well. God Speed.
I'm so sorry, Nina. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord... and may perpetual light shine upon him.
And may you and your family have great consolation, knowing that his life was a great success - measured by the great love and devotion he inspired in all of you.
I'm crying over here, and I didn't even know him - except thru your words. That's a measure of a great man. After my dad passed away, I was shocked by the number of people who came up to me to express a sense of loss. It was like a bonus of sorts - knowing that all these other people I wasn't aware of loved him, too. May God bless you and your family.
I'll say a special prayer to my grandparents that they look out for your dad and give him a big welcome. I like to think that all those I loved are having a big party together up there. I'm sure your folks will be an excellent addition to the table.
Nina, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope that you are doing o.k. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Oh, Nina. God rest them both.
