Way back when

Much better times, my dad:

and me:

Thanks for sticking my by me. I am going to be okay, and in the longest run my dad will be okay, too.

I'll be fun again soon. I promise.

  1. Nina, honey, (can I call you honey?)...

We aren't here for only the good times. We show up every day because we want to know what's going on in your life. The good and the bad and completely without censorship.

And if the blog has to stop because you need a break..that's okay. Take care of you.

I'm officially annoyed that I just spoke for everyone else. Sorry everyone else.

  2. Hi Nina,

Don't know how I got to your blog a few weeks ago. I wanted to let you know that I am so sorry to read about your dad. My dad and I are close friends. Losing him would be rough. I wish I was in a position to help, somehow. The best I can do seems rather trite - only because others typically don't mean it - but I am praying for you and your dad.

    Take care,
    -Paul.

  4. I counted the candles on the cake, so I'm guessing that even though you look older, you're probably only 8 in that picture? And can I say that you were a hot 8-year old?

    :D

    Lots of love.

  5. I just finished reading up on the last few days I missed (I was out of town for a bit), and I'm sorry things are so rough for you right now. I don't have any words that might help, but here's a hug {{{{HUG}}}}

And I wonder..is it family tradition to feel your boobs while the birthday song is being sung? ;)

  9. You don't always have to bring the funny or the entertaining... You're worried, and rightfully so. We'll stick around.

  10. Great pictures! Your dad has a great smile, and you look so sweet and pretty in that picture.

  11. Dittos to all of the above. Can't add much that's original, but I would like to say you should do what feels right to you. If staying in bed with Tony Soprano feels good, then do it. Take care of yourself. Love and hugs.
